Damage vs Distance
Damage vs Distance | Advanced
A simple damage per round can be overly simplistic, but maximum range doesn't quite paint the picture either. The below weapon comparison takes into account 5 separate variables, described below.

Data will be added to account for additional weapons and materials. Standy for updates.
Current charts are live linked to data that will also be enhanced and improved over time.
Variables Considered in Equations
Damage / Round
The initial damage of the weapon's round, with any fire mode listed when necessary
Maximum Range
Maximum range in meters the round can travel.
At this time no known info is available for how this may vary in the future with different atmospheres or gravity.
Round Lifetime
Taken to mean the length of time in seconds that a round can "exist" before disappearing in-game and no longer causing damage or visual effects.
Minimum Damage
Taken to be the lowest damage potential of the round. At this point, the damage itself may not decline further, but keep in mind that the Maximum Range would eventually remove the round from existence regardless.
Damage Drop / Meter
Loss of damage potential over distance. While this would appear to give an entirely linear decline in damage, remember the "minimum damage" variable will in some cases change the shape of this line.
